This is a call to put off electricity for an hour tomorrow from 8:30 – 9:30 in the evening. The act would make manifest that we support the global call for awareness for the environment with its threats of climate change and other concerns.
Earth hour which was observed last year has saved almost 80 megawatts. For this year, organizers aim for a hundred megawatts savings.
So, pledge to help Mother Nature and send this message of Earth Hour to friends and relatives in whatever way possible. Use instant messaging, emails or other means like Voice Over Internet Protocol. For those who have families abroad, use VoIP for cheaper international rates.
Putting the world into total black-out tomorrow could mean a brighter tomorrow. We are all connected. Get connected.
